Weaving with Nature - Stick Weaving

In this class, we will learn how to weave using sticks to build the frame to support and build the weaving on. I will bring a selection of sticks that the students may choose from to make their desired frame. Participants are also welcome to bring their own pieces of wood if they so desire, as well. From there, students will set out to weave a small to medium-sized wall tapestry. Students are encouraged to bring whatever fibers/materials they might like to work with for this workshop. There will be a selection of fibers that students may choose to weave with for their pieces that is incorporated into the workshop cost, but I will also offer a limited and curated selection of fibers and materials that students are welcome to use for an additional cost. Price ranges for the curated selection and varies according to fiber(s) and origin. Students should also bring a weaving comb. (JULY 4) 12:00PM-3:00PM *Class sign-up necessary. Drop-ins are welcome, but attendees need to make sure the class that is scheduled will happen - as minimum student quota must be met within 24 hours of the scheduled class. Classes that do not meet the minimum quota will be canceled.
