- Old Orchard Road
Lion’s Mane mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) has become increasingly popular and widely available as a supplement and gourmet food option in recent years, due to an increase in cultivation. However, this mushroom does so much more than just look and taste good! Lion’s Mane is an accessible medicine that can be grown or foraged in most communities across the northern United States, and stands out among the gourmet line-up as one of the most potentially life-changing medicinal mushrooms. It’s affinity for the brain and nervous system is astounding, and it is a great option for food as medicine because it can be prepared in a number of ways. In this class we will discuss history, benefits, actions, dosage, preparation, and tips on how to incorporate this mushroom into one’s daily life. This class will be held as a free offering to the Rooted Heart Apothecary community.
